My fears have been realised; I really like the Elemis Hydra-Boost Day Cream and there’s no way I can justify me affording it.
At £39 a pop, you can understand why this scares me.
I was lucky enough to receive a 15ml sample in my Birchbox for July (watch the Unboxing video here) and have been applying it every day for nearly a month.
What surprised me the most, pleasantly I might add, is how quickly I saw the effects of the day cream to my skin.
Within a few days I could see that my skin was already smoother on appearance, and clearer. If you watch my vlogs I started using it from my trip to Germany onwards (August bank holiday weekend).
I was actually so confident with the smoothness of my skin almost a week later from first using it that I went to Bluewater (Kent’s biggest shopping centre) wearing no make up whatsoever.
Not bad for a sample I just chucked in my bag because it was conveniently under 100ml for hand luggage!
For something that’s not as penetrative as a serum or even a full size product; this has seriously opened my eyes to the power of Elemis.
Okay that sounds a little cheesy but not many day creams/moisturisers have left this much of an impression on me.
Will I be buying the full size? For the moment no, £39 is way out of my budget for a daily moisturiser.
Although I love it and will be sad to see this tube emptied I just can’t justify parting with this much money every few months.
One to keep on my ‘when I’m Rich‘ list or a rainy day though…
