October has arrived and there’s a definite chill in the air. To top it off, my Birchbox UK October 2016 has gone all astrological on me!
There’s a Halloween vibe for sure this month, so catch up and watch my video below to reveal what was in this month’s box!
Birchbox UK October 2016
Like I said, astrological influences have taken over the theme this month, which is; ‘What’s Your Sign?’
There are FOUR different glow-in-the-dark box designs for Birchbox UK October 2016, one for each element. The element of box you’ve recieved should also match your starsign (according to the birthdate in your profile.)
I’m born on the cusp of Capricorn and Aquarius and so I vary depending where I look. So this time I’ve apparently fallen under Aquarius, as Birchbox have sent me the ‘Air’ box!
Anyway, here’s what I got this month:
- Doux Me Pure Spring Mist
- Rituals The Rituals of Sakura Magic Touch Body Cream
- Number 4 Lumiere D’Hiver Restore & Repair Oil
- Birchbox Eyebrow Brush (FULL-SIZE!)
- Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray
The sad news is the Lord & Berry Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick was missing from my box. I’ve had an item missing before and I know Birchbox will send this out to me separately, no problem.
However, I’ve tried to wait it out so I could at least include some swatches in this blog post, but unfortunately I haven’t had a response to my customer service email yet. (I’ve been advised by Birchbox that they are receiving a high volume of emails and are taking a little longer to respond etc etc etc.)
So while I wait for that, the other items I’m most pleased about receiving are the Doux Me Pure Spring Mist. I think this will definitely help keep my skin from drying out after I’ve applied a full face of make up.
I’ve also planned a pamper session before going out Saturday to use the Rituals Magic Touch Body Cream, which smells absolutely gorgeous! Honestly, my face in the video was no lie.
I’m a bit disappointed the Lord & Berry lipstick was missing because it looks like a great colour! I think it would have upped my first impressions of this box too.
Saying that, I’m still quite happy as there’s a variety of items and brands in here I wouldn’t have tried myself.
Which is, of course, what Birchbox is all about!
